Movie Plot:

Noryang: Deadly Sea (2023) is an epic historical action-drama set during the final stages of the Imjin War in December 1598. Admiral Yi Sun-shin, portrayed by Kim Yun-seok, leads the Joseon naval fleet into one of the most significant and deadly naval battles in Korean history. With the Wa invaders planning a retreat following the death of their leader Toyotomi Hideyoshi, Yi Sun-shin prepares to block and destroy the enemy forces in the treacherous Noryang Strait.

However, the situation takes a dark turn when Ming commander Chen Lin, who is allied with Yi, is bribed to lift the blockade. As the Wa lord Shimazu Yoshihiro leads his Satsuma army to reinforce the retreating forces, Yi must take charge of the battle without the Ming’s full support. What follows is a heroic yet tragic fight, where Yi Sun-shin and his forces face overwhelming odds to protect their land.
