Unfortunately, there isn’t one. If you enjoy staying for mid-credits or post-credits scenes, you’ll be disappointed with Alien: Romulus. The movie doesn’t follow this trend. However, you can still look forward to plenty of exciting Easter eggs and background details throughout the film.

In short, Alien: Romulus does not have a post-credits scene. Once the movie ends, the credits roll without any additional footage.

As the movie nears its end, it looks like Rain, Kay, and Andy might escape safely from the Romulus station. However, this is just a setup to make you think everything will be okay, especially if you’re familiar with the Alien series and expected a darker ending.

Things take a turn when Kay uses the alien goo that the android Rook was carrying. This goo causes her to give birth to a disturbing alien pod, which turns into a terrifying hybrid creature. The hybrid looks more like the ancient beings from the franchise rather than a regular human.

With Kay likely dead, Rain and Andy must fight the hybrid creature while racing against time before the station crashes into the colony’s rings. Andy gets badly hurt in the battle, and Rain eventually manages to eject the hybrid creature into space through the cargo bay.

Rain takes Andy’s damaged body to the ship’s cryopods, promising to fix him. She leaves a message for anyone who finds it, saying she’s unsure if she’ll reach their original destination, Yvaga. The ending of Alien: Romulus references key themes from the franchise, such as motherhood and pregnancy. It also nods to previous films, including moments from Prometheus and Alien: Resurrection. Like Ripley in the original Alien, Rain deals with the alien threat by throwing it out of the ship.
